Painted in 1994. It is the largest plein-air oil painting I ever did. A "break-out" painting, it gave me the courage to continue plein-air work when I moved to Southern California. This is a view of the lake in Mountain Park, GA.
It straddles the border between Fulton County and Cherokee County�hence the name "Cher-Ful Lake. Local lore tells of contending county liquor laws and wiley residents outwitting local law enforcrmrnt.
