Portraits in Watercolor

The purpose of this blog is to promote and showcase my work in portraiture. The primary focus here will be in watercolor, which is a medium I find most suitable for the job. Well aware of my limited skills, I am also seeking feedback, helpful critique, suggestions, and advice from those portraitists so inclined.
Over the years I've done portraits in oils, watercolor, graphite, intaglio, litho, and clay. I have for the most part worked from life, subjecting the sitter to a pose for extended periods of time. This method has become impractical as people have so little time and patience for sitting still anymore. It's a funny paradox that the more time-saving technology we embrace the less time we seem to have…oh well.
Being an iconoclast, I've resisted the use of photography as source material for any artwork other than the occasional illustration assignment. I'm trying to change (really I am, honest). In the process, I'm finding that my experience from life drawing and painting tends to inform me how to proceed when a photograph falls short in its two dimensionality. While I can't "see" around corners, I can "imagine" a little. But beyond the technical aspects I would really appreciate any advice on the business side of this endeavor. Input regarding pricing, approval process, packing and shipping, marketing, etc. would be appreciated by me and a great opportunity for everyone to learn and enhance their own internet/traffic presence.
I throw this out as bread upon the waters hoping for your response. Thanks!
