The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description

Done large in studio from smaller on-site sketches, this scene is unlike anything I have experienced before or since. Driving up through central California from the Mojave Desert to the Sierra Nevada mountains was almost visual overload as each unfolding scene topped the previous one,
Convict Lake, named for an infamous deadly stand off between prison escapees and the lawmen, is a very deep, very cold lake attracting fishermen and film crews year round.

Thanks for visiting my site. I’ve been planning to build this for a long time, and, well here it is. What’s here is a history of my artwork spanning about 45 years. Getting images of the old stuff has been a challenge since a lot of it has never been photographed.
